Is the republican party headed for extinction?

It is possible, but I think it is mostly because of the failure of GW. Now all the Dems who claim to not be racist have lumped all Republicans into one category which itself is racist. I think Obama has a good chance to be a two term president and personally the only GOP candidate I like is Ron Paul. It really depends on performance though, usually when a Republican president is elected it is because the Democrat president before him wasn't believed to have done a good job. Seeing as how there have been mostly Democrats since FDR though I see why you would make this conclusion. I really don't see much difference though, both are largely unable to do the big things they want to because they won't be able to get votes and that is a very big problem in certain situations.
