What should I do - add unemployed girlfriend on the lease or rent only to the employed boyfriend?

If she doesn't pay you can't sue her because you allowed her on the lease knowing that she was unemployed. This is what I would do. Put him on the lease with the provision that he pay 2/3 of the rent. This would have to be in writing of course. If he won't do it then find somebody else.
