I'm having trouble installing COD 2 on PC?

I have call of duty 2 for PC, I worked fine on my recent laptop which broke down and I bought a new computer, and for some reason COD 2 won't install properly on my desktop HP windows 7 comp. When I put in the disk it says Library can't be found or something like that. So it will not install and it will go all buggy like hell. So what do you think is wrong my firewall is blocking it, or does the game just not register with my computer? If anyone has a legitimate answer to my question as to how to get it to work without it being all screwy that be much appreaciated.
