Snapping hip syndrome - Ankle weights?
The problem with ankle weights is that they stress the knee and hip joints. Snapping hip syndrome is usually caused by the Ilio-tibial band snapping over the greater trochanter. This can be overcome by strengthening the hip abductors. There are multiple ways of doing this. As for the issue increasing your height, that is controlled by genetics. The ankle weights are not going to have any effect on this one way or the other. The use of ankle weights for pull ups is okay but you can achieve the same results for kicking by just working the muscles. The more that you use the muscles in the activities that you are doing the more stamina that you will have. There is such a thing as specificity of exercise. If you are training to kick higher then work on kicking higher. When you train with weights to do an activity the body gets stronger in that training and when the weights are removed the body doesn't have a carryover effect without the weights.
