Explain why the bat's modification would have been evolutionarily advantageous to the organism.?

Bats have numerous morphological modifications that aid them in finding and feeding on night flying insects or feeding on night blooming flowers. The advantage is that they do not have to expend as much time looking for food while fearing predation, they can also locate food over a much greater distance than a land bound rodent.
